In brief
When a federal body discloses personal data, it informs the recipient of how up to date, reliable and complete the data is – unless this is apparent from the data itself or from the circumstances (Art. 36 FADP).
What does this mean for me?
This obligation concerns federal bodies. For you, it means: anyone receiving data about you from a federal office should be able to tell whether it may be out of date or incomplete.
Implements these provisions of the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP)
