In brief
The company must provide you with information about the collection of your personal data in a precise, transparent, comprehensible and easily accessible form (Art. 19 FADP).
What does this mean for me?
A privacy policy that is hard to find or difficult to understand does not meet these requirements. You can expect clear information that is easy to find.
Example
An online shop hides its privacy policy as a long, unstructured text on a sub-page that no link leads to. This is neither easily accessible nor comprehensible.
Implements these provisions of the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP)
