In brief

The investigation procedure is governed by the Administrative Procedure Act (APA). Only the company or authority under investigation is a party, not the person who reported it.

What does this mean for me?

As the person making the report, you do not have the rights of a party. You enforce your own claims yourself, for example in the civil courts.
